What omega-3s from fish actually do for your heart
Fatty (or "oily") fish — salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines, anchovies, lake trout, and albacore tuna, are rich in the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). The American Heart Association has repeatedly reaffirmed that eating fish, particularly oily fish, at least twice a week is linked to a lower risk of heart failure, coronary heart disease, sudden cardiac death, and ischemic stroke, especially when fish replaces less healthy foods. What your circadian clock does to a fatty meal
